  1. Thanks mate.. Sounds alright for a change.. The fee is deff also cheaper. But is it somewhat well organised? how is road closures etc? Did actually consider both Nagambie and Albany and then heading back to europe
  2. HI Guys I love racing the half distance and just learned this series of events called "Sufferfest" www.sufferfesttri.com has a load of them coming up in a few months! Has anyone experience with some of the races? Number of participants, road closures? general setup etc. Would appricate all inputs Thanks!
  3. Thanks for all the good feedback. Melbourne sounds a bit nicer for training, not sure though if its a case of "grass is always greener on the other side" but Aussie cold deff dosen't scare a dane Is there alot of cycle only critiriums in Melbourne? When I stayed in Brisbane I really appriciated the tracks at Murraie and Nundah - haven't seen anything like it in Sydney.
  4. I´m in Mosman, so I do have some hills nearby . - I know going north towards west head, akuna bay etc is allright early and with a group, but damn would I love living in a place in AU where that would be posible all day. Denmark with the climate of Australia would be cycling heaven btw Thanks for all the feedback guys!

  6. Thanks Rob Appriciate it! And Thanks guys, as an foreinger however, it pretty much comes down to Melbourne or Sydney bc of job opportunities. I have been in Brisbane and Gold Coast a few weeks (loved training in Gold Coast)
  7. Hi Guys I'm originally from Denmark but have lived in Sydney for 6 months - quit like it here, just a nightmare biking arround which I really like to do alot of hours a week. Haven't been to Melbourne, but might make a move in the future or atleast swing by for a few weeks. I heard Melbourne is alot better is this true? More (or any) critiriums?, less traffic? More enclosed bike Paths? Etc. If any of you guys know both cities and have a good understanding on how they compare, I would really appriciate your thoughs:)'
  8. Hello everyone My girlfriend and I are ambitious age gorup 70.3 triathletes and trains weekly between 12-20 hours. We are from Denmark, but are at the moment living in Brisbane, moving to Sydney in the beginning of May We've never been to the city before but plan to stay there for at least a year. So it is really important with a good training environment. I have googled alot, but it is always best with personal advice I think. I hope some of you Sydney residents can help out with some of these questions below: Which suburb/area is most ideal staying for triathletes? I have looked at areas around Sydney Olympic Park, as I think it gives opportunities to practice all dicisplines relatively easy. Which club would you recomend to be most serious about training (best coaches, compitions, possibly elite athletes training along)? Any advice would be appriacted alot! Thanks Ulrik
