  1. I had a look at the "rally the troops" for WS70.3 for last year and this year, my club is down on entrants by about 10, Moore Performance have disappeared entirely as a "group" (maybe they are elsewhere?) Warringah are about the same, Panthers are about the same.
  2. I guess it would, the kit at Lausanne was black. But there has been an Iranian female finish Kona http://realiran.org/shirin-gerami-becomes-first-iranian-female-to-finish-the-ironman-world-championship/
  3. What they can wear. There are modesty rules about head to wrist to ankle. Saw a couple of ladies from that part of the world at Worlds in Lausanne.
  4. Water temp taken by TO's yesterday at about 3pm when Hills transition opened. 24 degrees. Hot and shifting winds from about 2pm, did get a headwind coming down Castlereagh Rd on the bike.
  5. I'm much the same about racing out at Penrith. I'm "going round" in the club enticer tomorrow as I am doing a long ride to get out there (just so bored with laps of the regatta centre!) Most other races are out of Sydney though so you need a nights accommodation to race, so when you are paying $150 for a sprint, then everything else it ends up being a no go for a sprint. Kurnell is more reachable for me now, but for the outer westies you might as well book a room!
  6. Getting given tickets, so yeah I'll watch. I still wonder why people keep going back to WS70.3 🤣 @Flanman water is not clear. Last race I did there a few weeks back, could not see wire. I use the buoys as a guide, I know I'm on target when I hit one
  7. Next Tuesday and Wednesday are predicted to be 36 and 40 at Penrith. Not sure if I have seen the actual temp too different from the forecasts out there 😮 14 day long range starts getting into the 30s, but that is a little too far away. I'll be up at the Supercars in Newcastle.

    Noosa Tri 2019

I saw a few strange results where the chip did not register at certain points so their T1 was about 60-90mins (so included the bike) or T2 was 50-90 mins (so included the run).
  9. Down 1.2 which is probably water weight.

    Nepean 2019

I wonder what course map they had up on the boards on site? Those ones are not clear. I do not have the briefing pack either as I was not a competitor.
  11. I found the Mooloolaba 70.3 course as well. You can also build up your own courses with a secondary app they have, I have made the course for Port 70.3 and IM. It only shows the map, but still works well
  12. Try Rouvy....if you need more details message me
  13. Putting on weight Hopefully with my birthday now gone, TO training and assessment completed as well as the work trips done for 3 months I can eat and train properly. No plans to race away from home which always throws everything out.

    Hoka One One

Bondi 5 and Clifton 4 here - I started in them as I had a number of friends in them who had hip, knee and ankle issues who could run again. I gave them a go and was hooked. Thing is I have a pair of Mizuno Wave Sky 3's coming my way (won them at the Hills Race), so I will let you know about those when I try them.
  15. Hey all, You can hit up the direct link to all the races here https://my2.raceresult.com/g3686/ If you are lazy, then here is the direct link to race 2. https://my6.raceresult.com/140639/registration?lang=en
  16. Now all I can think of is.....I was gonna do 70.3 worlds, but then I got high...I was gonna swim, bike and run, but then I got high...
  17. Put on 400g. That will teach me to travel for work. This week is going to be no good either, no time to train (TOing at Nepean all weekend) and birthday week.
  18. Thats some great progress. They even everything out. I find that I am not flying off the handle at everything now compared to no meds. It also helps you get interacting again as you find yourself in your own head less. Still suffer the lows, of late it has been around my body and how it looks, started with the worlds team uniform, then when I saw the worlds photos, now looking at wedding dresses. Everyone else over there on the internet thinks clothing is optional (there is a gym challenge going on where I used to live), I still want to cover myself up. Does not help when thin people say they are fat....if you are, then what am I? 😤
  19. I had the same in early 2013. Had the prick test, which then was a fasting blood, then the glucose drink test. Not high enough for type 2, but well on the way there. Triathlon (and lower carbs) saved me I guess, a year later I was back to normal. Took until the end of 2015 to realise I should drop the kilos.
  20. Get the laxatives, or foods that cause it (for me that is dairy) early. Otherwise you might end up getting the suppository! 400g loss I think 🙄 wrote it up this morning. Need to lose more. No-one wants a fat bride!
  21. The only issue I have had with guys in a race is EE tend to start the Athenas with the Clydes, teams and mates. It means I constantly get smacked on the head, shoulder, arms in the swim by a lot of men who misjudge their strength. If they could drop us in with another female only age group that would be nice.
  22. 8 months? I have been told "It's on" from January for Port 2020. I'm currently stepping up my base run and ride distance after being geared for Oly. (although I have no Kona dreams, just to finish before midnight)
  23. Well I'll be damned. They are. I'm used to them only running events in NSW, VIC and ACT.
  24. Public pool bugbear number 1. Swimming along in a pool that has had women not wearing caps, and feeling like you swam into a spider web 😤
  25. Elite Energy will be doing BYO swim caps at their races this year. This could be interesting from a cheating standpoint, although Emmo does not run any races in Western Australia 🤣
