  1. Cadens, love em. Now that I know Hoka's work for me I'll be buying them from Willie from now on.

    Shoulder Bursitis - Cortisone

I had shoulder bursitis late 2013 and into 2014. Took up Triathlon early 2013 and jumped straight into a 70.3 so I think the increased load in training caused it. Did rehab for a few months with little success, so got a US assisted cortisone injection early 2014 which seemed to help. Had another one later that year as I was going overseas for 12 months so the specialist said it can't hurt to throw another one in to help while I was away. I didn't swim for 6 months while away anyway and it seemed to help as I haven't had any problems since, although my swimming load from then was fairly light as I didn't do any major training til late 2016 when I decided to do IM OZ 2017. Also did IM Oz this year, still no problems.

What the F is going on here?

    It's called 'The Homer'
  4. Hey Willie I run with the Arahi 2's, I found them great for my long runs and Ironman. Not sure how they would go in an Olympic distance or shorter where I'm pushing harder as I find they automatically slow my cadence a bit compared to my Lunarglides which I've been using for years. Is there a 'race' or lightish type Hoka that would be good for this (and still be my required type shoe)? or could I even still use Lunarglides for shorter stuff? Or is that not recommended due to the big differences in the 2 shoes? Cheers, Matt

Which current triathlon has the fastest descent?

Last year's Noosa was my first race there, I hit 87km/h down the hill, I thought that was pretty standard...? I race around 70-71kg so dunno if I'd get much faster than that

Port - Right Here, Right Now

11.05 for me which is a 43min PB from my IM debut at Port last year. Stayed consistent with a puncture last year and a puncture/mechanical again this year which cost me 10mins....😑 Goal was to PB the swim and bike, did that by 8mins on swim and 19mins on the bike, then somehow jagged a 13min PB run. Stoked. But pissed I could of had a 10.xx next to my name, guess I'll have to do it again... Great race/town, crowd support awesome.

    9 weeks till Ironman Australia

I'm in 2nd time around, last year was my first full. 11.48 with a puncture last year, hopefully a bit quicker in all 3 legs, but who knows on the day.
  9. Stealth. They make e-bikes.
  10. Was waiting for a comment like that, surprised it took this long
  11. Yeah that's how I read it, but wonder if they can back date it to the submission of 30 January, would they bother chasing up after the fact if I have already taken delivery, who knows, but yes you're right, it is new bike time now!
  12. https://cyclingtips.com/2018/02/bikes-imported-australia-hit-unexpected-5-tariff/ I'm on the cusp of ordering a new Canyon, does the mention of the revocation request for normal bikes mean I'm staring down the barrel of an extra 5% import tax??

    Plantar fasciitis

Get a wooden wobble board only cost 30 or 40 bucks, I had PF for 18 months, after a few weeks of single leg balancing on the wobble board there was huge improvement/PF gone.
