  1. I suspect this happens a lot. In my other life I used to modify 4WD's with published articles, photo shoots etc. I was slightly amused to see one of my vehicles covered and knee deep in mud in a full page Ad for a number of months advertising a brand of wheel... which I've also never used and which were not fitted (or viewable) in the photo used. To be fair though, I did not own the rights to the photos of my 4WD. But funny stuff alright.
  2. All of the road at Port is awesome compared to what I'm used to. I was stunned when I heard people complaining about the first bike course a Western Sydney 70.3, Id never been on such perfect roads!

    Lock laces

Elastic laces, I set and forget. I never adjust them. Best things ever.

    Bike insurance

I just have it insured with the house contents. That covers it when its travelling or being used unless its in a race - racing is not covered. That includes air travel. They did say that I need to make sure its safe, ie, don't leave it unsecured and unattended etc.
  5. We dont know more than ITU, WADA and IOC to determine they are wrong?
  6. To put that into context, here are the statements. ITU (via Twitter) ITU (via triathlon.org)
  7. It makes no difference now if he did or didn't. He has been judged guilty.
  8. "At least they're having a go" is my favourite, a great stirrer when people are doing swim drills!
  9. Hmm. Just listen to a Babbit interview where Sutto was saying with Cunnama, that he made his fast runs faster and his slow runs a lot lot slower.

    Running iPods

But sadly every time a question re iPods etc comes up, this same crap comes up without failure. As soon as I read post 6 I knew this thread was going that way also.

    Running iPods

You might also find the Nano at Officeworks. Thats where I got mine. I prefer the older square ones that just clip on to your shorts, but the new ones have no clip but do have Bluetooth, so you can probably just stick it in a pocket, spi belt or whatever.
  12. It is a good time to reflect! Just so very pleased with 2017.
  13. Absolutely. The silver lining is there, but nobody will ever see it. the competitor that didn't get bitten, the rider that wasn't burnt, the swimmer that didn't go septic. Because these things would never happen.
  14. Thats awesome news! What was the story with it?
  15. What do you think were the main causes of so many DNF's. I understand it was pretty hot.
  16. Wow, thats incredibly crap. Best wishes for a speedy return.
  17. The message I got from a friend competing was there were 7 sharks.
  18. I think most people, despite the disappointment are understanding of the situation, approach it with reason and perspective then just get on with things.
  19. If the buck stops with you, then always apply the coroners test with 20/20 hindsight.
  20. At club level the kids seem to get more racing and training than the adults.

    Seb on Twitter

Thats a classic! He's a funny bloke. That @triexcuse is gold - doesn't matter how good you get, you always think you could have done better.
  22. The tready I have on a carpet mat over the top of carpet. The front has fairly large feet to spread the load. The rear has rollers for when the inclination changes. The rollers I have on timber boards over the carpet mat so the rollers can roll and to spread the load when its being used. The Kickr I have just on a carpet mat over the carpet.
  23. The shorts of this look really interesting!

I get that from anything more than a fleece chamois pad in the trishorts. To prevent it I use trishorts with either a fleece chamois or nothing. Even for 70.3 I do this in a padless ITU trisuit. IM with a fleece chamois.
