  1. http://www.specialized.com/au/en-au/ftb/pumps/floor-pumps/air-tool-compak-floor-pump This is a great product.
  2. Can Al Caird win the double. First age grouper and beer mile champion 2014.

    IM WA race day

Yes cut the swim course at the end of the jetty. Between the jetty and the buoys.

    IM WA race day

Haha. Actually yes. TO with video filming at least one who cut. Was followed down the jetty and red carded . Not just one but will get Bulldog to clarify.
  5. When I started I told myself to work on 5yrs to make Kona. It took 6 ... ( a bit unlucky not to be 5 ) I'm a self employed auto sparky. With a very supportive gf / wife. Look long term... You can't be on the razors edge all year round. LB.
  6. Sub 20 Sub 40 Sub 3:20 even 3:30 really. That's still trucking along. I think your numbers are a little sharp. 2:50 - 3:20 is a massive window.
  7. Let them run it then show them how it's really done. I doubt whether any of them will have the class of Ratdogs safari suit.
  8. I would have guessed the opposite. Busso is the most consistent swim course anywhere don't you think? Edited 3.6 jetty swim. 3.8 IM. You definitely swim further in December
  9. It's $100k for the win $50k for second and so on down the line. It's less but more ... Right ...right.
  10. They moved the start for the swim because anyone that did the race last year or the year before know how hard it is to hold the start line with the current pushing you forward. Hence the ease of starting with it off to the side. Simples. The swim is as close as any swim course. And there is a current no question you can see it plain as day. The bike is short because of city limits and safety. They go as for north as Rockingham boundary. The run is spot on. These were all issues stated in the inaugural race briefing. Kona spots last year definitely helped it sell out. Yes it's fast but it's hot. You earn you towel that's for sure. LB
  11. I had a 5 yr goal from when I started. I just thought that's how long it would take to be good enough. I was bang on the money. I also agree you need to be lucky and you also need to not be afraid of failing. I was 100% happy with my qualifying race and whether I qualified or not I told my GF (now wife) immediately after crossing the line... whatever happens tomorrow ( at roll down) remind me that I was happy with my race and had nothing left. If it doesn't happen I got beaten by better guys and they deserve to go. Bring on watching this year. :-) LB.
  12. Emma trains in Perth quite a lot over summer. Smashed our clubs Karri Valley Triathlon to pieces in March ( honest bike and run) Had to concentrated on cycling after that as per her contact to her pro team. Openly loves to run and was swimming allot better than her previous results before she left for Euro. A super athlete and person. Good luck to her.
  13. I thought the Aussies performed well in the men's. They had a dip , Ryan B missed the medal train by seconds ... Was this due to a slight hesitation to wait for a team mate... Maybe. I was disappointed that Murray didn't work... Well I didn't see him work on the bike. He was happy with bronze the moment he got to Scotland IMO. Johny and Alistair are just top top athletes they deserved the medals things will be different in Rio.
  14. Be careful Katz as moving too much because your setup isn't "right" you may be in danger of going backwards or worse even doing damage, getting injured etc. setup should be super gradual ... Taking weeks or months not a few hours. Flick total Tri an email. Local nice guy / pro Johan Borg will help you or matt illingworth @ Churchill cycles is great for advice. Good luck !
