  1. So I'm looking for a new gps watch and I had pretty well settled on getting a Forerunner 245. I was happy to wait a month or 2 for a good price then this offer comes along. Forerunner 245 Music for AUD399 I don't even want music with my watch but this price is heaps better than the non-music version. Why are they screwing with my head by offering me something I don't want at such an appealing price?

Looks like something I saw on American Pie. 😑
  4. I would certainly give it to you but there are rules. "Kinetic gain", blah blah, "single climb", ... So many rules... Big ride there PW. 👍
  5. No training today! If it is not on Strava it didn't happen. Garmin has shut down it sites due to a ransomware hack. No-one can upload any data. link
  6. Now all you need is a race to ride your new steed in.

Looking forward for the first Victorian to be fined for exercising while not carrying a mask. "If you're out doing vigorous exercise you don't have to wear a mask, but you need to carry one with you and put it on when you stop. Strenuous exercise includes activities like jogging, running or cycling but not walking," the official DHHS advice says." abc
  8. How is this possible? I cannot swim in a straight line at the best of times!
  9. Just a casual Everest by Jason English that he happens to slip in as a part of training. That's a long day on the bike. https://www.strava.com/activities/3681702004?utm_campaign=ride_share&utm_content=20275
  10. I like the idea of taking away team radios. Would make the breakaways much more interesting. Sure the big teams would have ways of countering this though.
  11. Great article from cyclingtips.com about the birth and death of SpeedX. (From 12 months ago.) https://cyclingtips.com/2019/06/what-happened-to-speedx/
  12. Looks just like the costal classic. Only 5 times longer on boggy tracks and in shit weather. Once you get those ski sticks working you should have no problems
  13. Time to revive one of my favourite threads I seem to revisit every couple of years. Had the Fixumol on for 12 days now. Today I removed a couple of patches from shoulder and thigh. Smooth soft skin minus a few freckles. Thanks transitions for the useful advice...

The semi finals and final should be played at Docklands to prevent this silliness. If CA need me for any more events planning, I am available.

  17. Alphafly will have 39.7mm of foam. This is getting silly. joshua-cheptegei-world-record-slammed-for-use-of-shoe-technology
  18. That's some crazy racing. A bit like you used to see on Top Gear.
  19. Ha, not safe. A few years back I put my emergency cash under the insole in my shoe at St Kilda beach while I went for a swim early one morning. Money was gone when I returned.
  20. My family did a day trip to Lady Musgrove Island (just up from Lady Eliot) a couple of months ago. Saw at least 20 turtles, a manta ray and a small reef shark while snorkelling. Turtles great, coral just ok. No lux resort there, just some rough camping so probably not what you are after.

KT26s were pretty radical when they first came out (1978). I had at least 2 pairs. Don't knock the KT26s.
  22. Whatever you do not do breaststroke. Nothing worse than the person in front of you changing stroke and kicking you in the face. Especially around the buoys.

  24. Next time I'm leading the World Championship Road Race I'll think about this....
  25. Shaun has gone a little faster in the Melbourne Marathon with a 2.29.22 to lower the Aust M50 Record. His km splits are a pretty bloody regular around 3:28 min/km. Not quite Eliud Kipchoge and his pacing team but I'd still love to have his consistency. And to have his speed would be nice too. https://www.strava.com/activities/2784037539
