Hi there,

i'm planning to hang out in Noosa for two months of good triathlon training. My plan is to be there in March and April.

I'm from Germany and i'm really interested about the infrastructure there.

Swimming+Gym should be possible at NAC (Noosa Aquatic Centre), right?

What about runs? Are there any good running routes? Noosa Parks seems to be a possiblity? Any flat routes?

Concerning Biking, the hinterland seems to be good. What about the traffic? Is it really dangerous, as i read in some postings?

Could anyone give me an advice where i could find a share/apartment/etc. to stay for to months. I already searched the flatmates, airbnb websites but there are not many offers which are affordable.

Would be really happy to get some feedback from some guys who are familar with the area.

Best,

coca

You can stay with rocket salad Or Jan

Very jealous, Arwsome place to train and stay/live , raods are pretty good , but you will get the typical Australian co$k head so just try and do the right thing by riding single file etc and just get out of the towns and into the hinterland
I'm sure locals will chime in with routes etc

Ah mate....
I have lots of info but little time right now.

Basically the main swim squad is Mon Wed and Fri at 9am at the NAC. Sunday there is a great 4km ocean swim leaving from the Surfy at 4pm. Plenty of fast dudes swim it. PJ quick enough for you?( probably not these days)
Bunch rides every morning. See http://www.bunchride...au/archives/897
Rides up on the hills toward Montville are safe. Great fun.
Most tricathletes run alone. The national park sucks cause it's too crowded with walkers unless you go at dawn's crack.

Also contact the Noosa tri club and ask about accommodation. They may be able to help.

Couldn't find anywhere decent for running (other than the trails which were great). Riding and swimming are good, great bike lanes and some good pools and squads.

Thanks a lot for the information.

Can i join the bunch rides with my tri bike? I only have my tri biek with me.

How can i join the swim squad? Do i need a special memebership. Is NAC membership enough?
