Just aiming for the club relay at National Champs next year at this stage. I'd doubt he could get back to anywhere near his best. Certainly looking very fit though.

Seems like he's finally got his head together. As OL has said, I hope he gets what he's after, and has fun doing it. I think 20 years after flogging himself day in day out in the pool, he won't last long if he doesn't.

I saw that the guy that took his world record quietly served a drug ban in China earlier this year. Banned from training here as a result

It'd be nice to pass a rule that you not only lose results from when you have been proven to be on the juice, but all records & championships for say 5 years prior as well. With the low chance of getting done that everyone keeps mentioning, chances are you were on something previously when you set a world record. And if you weren't, then why are you taking the drugs now?

He looks pretty fit. Much fitter than Thorpe was when he lined up second time around. 200 free relay ? may be a chance.

So recreation drugs, addiction, scaring kids and borderline domestic violence is ok but let's crucfiy the ped bloke.

What's Hackett swimming again got to do with Sutton? That's the longest bow I've heard of

No I don't but Hackett has proved himself to be an a grade cock head but yet you all love the bloke. I don't get it. Stop being impressed by celebrities and look at the reality.

Now he just needs to stay away from the 4x100m team so he doesn't relapse

Nah mate, I'd let Lance back in too, admit his wrongs, 4 years and welcome back. Life's to short.

Where has anyone said they love the bloke. Lots of "cock heads" around everywhere. Hackett's crimes pale compared to what you see every week from the league boys. His "addiction" was to sleeping pills and anyone who's had struggles with sleep and have used stillnox (I have) would see how easy it is to get hooked. Nothing beats a great sleep and the pressure on these guys is enormous. There's always two sides to every story and if you ask me his wife was hardly an angel. He admitted his problems, apologised and moved on. You never made a mistake in your life Trek?

Cotterell has had significant influence over Grant sine he was a kid, doesn't matter if he is successful or not.

Even if Grant fails, he has a goal and this will help keep him on the straight and narrow. I met Hackett at a party on the gold coast and he is a nice bloke. He was genuinely in awe of us Ironman. I managed to beat him........in table tennis.
