Geelong 70.3 this weekend - who will win?

22 posts in this topic

I'm picking Burger to back up from Dubai. I reckon Appo will struggle to hang with Josh on bike and if he does, his run will be off. Josh ran a 1:14 at Dubai off a solid bike - so his run is improving.

Podium

Josh

Appo

Willy

Kudos to Jake M on return to 70.3 racing.

Should be a great race all round!

Luxford will be hard to beat. Saw her at Sandringhsm last weekend and she is running great. Also gets bonus points for colour coordination with that bike of hers. Nice bit of kit.

Men - no idea who's racing. Let's see who turns up.

The weather forecast for Sunday is shite. I've got the rain tyres on the bike already and an extra layer Gillet vest for the bike leg. It will be overcast, rain and about 12 - 14 degrees for most of the bike leg with a stiff westerly breeze. We might see sunshine for the run leg.

Take what you can get on a day like this.

Agree, he's nearly old enough to be the father of some of the young dudes.

Don't worry, there's hardly any of them anyway. It'll be hard for them to miss on a payday this race.
