Forgetting obit the intent of the activity but this girls is a metronome. Splits for 8 weeks have been within a few minutes. Imagine doing a solid taper off this. You'd destroy and pb and probably the entire field.

Especially considering the varied weather she has had to endure over the term of the venture.

sydney has been 40+ degrees one day the torrential rain and gale force winds the next.

So does he still have to to supposedly take the so called world record?

If he keeps going until Port he'll be way ahead of the record and may well be tempted to kick on the Cairns and beyond to get 100 in a row on the board - or at least that was an idea when I spoke to him a month ago ...

The movescount data looks that way for the last 4 or 5 days

Today is day 68 of Iron Century, and it’s a great day - Debi will have more to share later

Is she pregnant?

If so, they really are an incredible pair to have found time for that.

Hello supporters! Today is day 68 of Iron Century, and it’s a great day - Debi will have more to share later but this will be her 68th consecutive half-ironman in the bag! Woohoo! Importantly, we need to give you an update on what’s happening with Debi AND John. After ten back-to-back Ironman triathlons of his total of 23 Ironman and half a dozen half ironmans, the Iron Century duo decided John would take a break from another full Ironman, and instead complete a half with Debi on Friday, 31st March.

John’s done a half with Debi every day since that day, and will continue to do halfs with Debi and working on doing a few more Ironman distances leading up to Port Macquarie Ironman. This will give Debi as much support as she can get to make Iron Century a success.

This decision wasn’t an easy one to make, and both John and Debi have been thinking about it since their last blog post on day 57. While Debi and John have been athletically capable, several external factors came into play.

If you’ve stuck your head out of the window in the last week or so, you would’ve gotten pretty soggy. After consecutive days of running in the rain (and running in the rain the dark) John was on the edge of getting a serious cold, and causing unmanageable fatigue. While John’s legs were firing his immune system was taking a beating in the atrocious conditions - which was a worry for Debi.

Debi was there to support John into the late nights, though sometimes at the risk of her own health. Debi was cheering John on at 10pm as he finished his marathon, rather than being in bed and getting the rest she needed. Now on day 68 and after three nights of both of them having nine hours sleep, Iron Century are in top shape for the next 32 days, and that’s a big relief to the support crew.

John and Debi have said that they couldn’t do Iron Century without a legion of helpers, and the long nights were disruptive on their volunteers. While their baby son Ryder’s been excellent to babysit, the longer hours were asking more of the people John and Debi have to support them. Deciding to focus on Debi’s efforts means there’s more time for everyone. They can be done by 3pm, giving everyone the rest they need.

Iron Century continues! Right now, more than $22,800 has been raised for the Australian Red Cross, and we’d still dearly love your support. We’ll go into more detail on the blog, which will be updated ASAP. Thank you, and keep cheering the Iron duo on!

Spread the word and we really do welcome everyone to come along and ride and run with us. Timings are usually 8:30 - 11:30 cycle, 12pm-2pm run. See you soon!!

The big surprise is that with transition times between pool and venue and breaks befor run start they have realized they haven't met any cut-offs and they will be starting again from 0 (zero) and the double surprise is we will have to endure it! :(
