Not really a fan of motor racing, but am always impressed with the engineering.

Yes they are a pointy end team, just not as dominant as before. My 'point' was it will be interesting to see hoe Ricardo handles the increased pressure to perform. He got the drive by the skin of his teeth.

It will be very interesting to see how many cars finish tomorrow. As good as Riccardo's qualifying was, the real revelation is Magnussen, 4th spot in his first qualifying session in F1, very impressive.

Horner was just asked about reliability.

He said he hopes they finish as so far in testing they haven't (gone the race distance).

- The sound

+ No more procession

- Only 14 finishers

+ Mercedes didn't finish a lap ahead as predicted

+ Ricciardo and Magnussen and also Bottas' drive

- The sound

+ Australian have another driver to chant for

- The sound, did I mention the sound of those engines/exhaust is shit?

Just watched the delayed highlights.

Sound - Agree with DC when he commentated 'they sound like an old Massey Ferguson' !

Great drive by Rosberg, Ricardo and Magnussen.

Perplexed as to why Rosberg's car ran like a dream and Hamilton's didn't.

Some front noses look an awful lot better than others.

Commentators need to understand the difference between 'more torque' and 'peak torque'. More torque in itself does not produce more wheelspin.

What happened at the start that they had to do another formation lap?

here is my take on the way it might pan out this season

Due to the strict regulations with gear boxes and engines this year i think the teams will sacrifice one driver if he is off pace very early on in the race. This will allow them to run those engines again later in the season. The Mercedes will run out of engines towards the end of the season and drop back as a result.

I watched it. Great win for Ricardo but it was gifted really, both Mercs had a bizarre electrical/ brake fault at the same time resulting in a power loss, Rosberg stayed out but Hamilton retired. Mercedes had both cars 27secs ahead of the rest at one point.

Crazy crash on the last lap caused by Massa on Perez, Vettel was very lucky to escape through the middle.

Dollars to donuts if that crash had been in front of Webber, he would have been wrecked as well :D
