  1. What training did you do today?

    4,250mts straight swim at Centenary then the best part ...... a 30min nap beside the pool in the winter sun.

    No dnf for me. Hamilton told me I missed the cut for their 4 sponsored team riders for that season but then selected me to ride for their team in the state 100k teams time trial for them. I said not a chance, esp as McCullough was driving that train. Instead I was the neutral (lol) observer in your following team car with (Briz Blasters) Shane Norton. Two totally unbiased 😇 observers and also acting as team manager/driver and mechanics lol Those Brizzy Tri Club jerseys were probably the reason I stayed with Ham Wheelers. White shirts with pink, yellow & blue bands.... yuk

    Ian Jensen was a machine, along with Greg Redan two older athletes who often podiumed back in the day.

    Ah yes remember that race well. My calves starting cramping big time around the 60k mark, and I was just the neutral observer in your following support vehicle. You guys also had the gayest team jerseys I've ever seen.

    5k arvo swim at Centenary Pool, a great way to ease into the weekend

    I found this Youtube clip of the pre & post news reports for the 1989 Hervey Bay Tri. There's a little vision of AP running alongside woman's winner Ruth Miller and even Ex-Hasbeen gets an honourable mention.

    Running the half on Sun, part of my build up to the Brizzy Marathon in Aug (my 1st marathon since 1990)

    25 hard on TT bike + a cruisy 10K run along the Brizzy River. Rest now until GC half on Sunday.

  10. Outside assistance

    A couple of small strips of strapping tape across the pads of your feet is a simple fix for a long or rough run from the water to T1. Put it on properly and you won't know its there in all 3 legs

    You're much better at swimmer than growing a beard Ex. I'd call it fluff, and that's a stretch
  12. I have a spare pair of size 46 Shimano 241 carbon sole road shoes I'd like to swap for a pair of 46-47 tri bike shoes. My Shimano 241s are in very good condition with very little use. I'm at Brizzy northside

    Assuming this happened in Qld... any accident involving at least one motor vehicle, in which an injury was sustained that required medical treatment, must be reported to the police.
