  1. Lances Tour Podcast.

Listened to a couple of episodes over the weekend. The arrogance and absolute conviction that allowed him to bully people into submission is still there. To be honest, that is what makes it interesting to listen to. LA is not backward about expressing an opinion and is pretty good at explaining the reasoning behind it. Add in the insight from his time racing and it makes for compelling listening. It's a bit of a sycophantic boys club, if you are expecting challenging questions, you won't find them there. But LA is self-deprecating enough that I could put up with that for interesting stuff that comes out.
  2. Lances Tour Podcast.

I am only hearing good things so have downloaded a couple to listen to. Now to find the time to listen to them.
  3. Tour de France Tipping Contest

He is coming back from injury. Carrying no expectations from the team, but I think everyone is a bit surprised at just how bad his form is.
  4. Tour de France Tipping Contest

This year really demonstrates the value of the Green jersey competition to the overall race. What could have been a relatively boring stage last night, turned into a full gas smashfest.
  5. Sagan at Fault?

They consistently look after the French guy. You are fake news, Ex.
  6. Shipping time from chain reaction cycles?

I got some tyres in 3 business days (included a weekend).
  7. Bike Insurance

Had a look at Velosure and they are good for bike insurance but weak on health and third party stuff. My bike is only worth about $4k so I am more interested in the third party cover and medical coverage, bike cover is a bonus. MIght have a look at CA.
  8. Bike Insurance

So my Bicycle Network membership is up for renewal. The main reason I have membership is for the insurance. Essentially I am pretty lazy, so I am hoping someone out there has done the research and I can benefit. What is the best insurance for cycling?
  9. Fuel / Race Belt

7 seems excessive, but each to their own. I used to put some tape around my wrist sticky side out, stick a couple of gels to it then tape over the top.
  10. Your 'hardest' race?

First marathon for me. Hadn't really trained for it and didn't know what was involved. Hit the wall at 32kms and thought it was all over. Was shocked to get my second wind and then started to lose control of my legs on St Kilda Rd. Finished with shot legs and a scrambled brain, took 30mins + before I could even lie down without severe pain. There is video footage of me swearing never to do that again (did it the next year). I think the hardest bit was I didn't understand that I could do it. Failure wasn't only an option but seemed the likely outcome
  11. Sagan at Fault?

More importantly, I saw the Specialized ad Sagan created. He is throwing much more than an elbow and it is hugely entertaining. http://www.cyclingweekly.com/videos/cycling-tech/watch-peter-sagan-reveals-new-specialized-diverge-mysterious-muscle-car-video
  12. Cross bike

Just buy the Exploro. The guy I know with one is insanely fast on the road on it and then you can chuck mtb wheels on it. https://www.3t.bike/en/3t-bikes/exploro-2.html
  13. Cross bike

the Flanders look great and I know a few people with Trek Boones that they like. A mate has more of a gravel bike, a 3T Exploro and that thing is awesome. I get serious bike envy everytime I see it.
  14. Tour de France Tipping Contest

I picked the other Sagan because he was cheap. Hoping for assist points.
  15. Leg Warmer/Knee Warmer/HTFU?

-6.6 last Sunday morning. I had full leg warmers on and considered putting knee warmers over the top. I didn't cover my face which was a mistake, my lips are still dry.
